Pinball museum baltimore12/15/2023 ![]() The big Wolverine to me is in the way so close to the flippers and it’s an odd place to have a magnet. Regarding the gameplay, it plays decent and has a hybrid layout of Tron and Spiderman and it’s fun to hit the combination ramp shots. From my understanding the code is not yet complete and I have no idea what version I played (the ones I played in the past had serious problems locking pinballs, but this one seemed to do okay other than when the locked ball would be released from Magneto and drain SDTM). At a lofty $1 a play or 3 for $2, you will be pouring quarters into this bad boy. X-men is located right by the change machine which is smart. Many of the Berlin Mart disgruntled arcadists felt the same way, after they had awful games and huffed away to play the skill crane. I always look forward to playing it, but I’m usually left feeling like my pinball skills are not up to snuff. Any two ball mode ends the second one of the ball drains. You visit the different continents for the modes and it’s rare that you can complete more than 1 or 2 a game, let alone COMPLETE all 7 to get to the wizard mode. ![]() There’s subliminal messages for the tempurpedic bed in the “Hey Mans.” Also, the game is pretty much impossible to beat on factory settings. I feel like the callouts were done by a hypnotist. The artwork is colorful and that’s the best thing I can say about that. That’s like describing someone as “nice.” Designed by Pat Lawlor it has a lot going on, a good playfield layout and a bunch of shots, but ultimately it isn’t a game that is exciting. ![]() Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! is an interesting game.
